Default Anyone have any low-fat/cal. snacks that they eat to curb hunger?

I was just getting hungry, and i cut up a banana and drizzled a little honey on it. It was sooo good, and It feels like it will hold me over!

Please let us know if you have any snacks that help you from not overeating!!

Probably sounds strange, but I love cooked cabbage. I just boil up a half a head, drain and sprinkle with a little Molly McButter. It makes me feel full and also is warm so it feels like more of a meal than just celery and carrot sticks.

    Are you thinking, YUK?!

I keep a huge fruit bowl on my kitchen counter. I usually spend about $20.00 on produce a week, so as you can imagine, it's a pretty big bowl.

I also love popcorn, tortilla chips and homemade salsa, croutons and tons and tons of water.

I tend to go for a grain when dieting and wanting to curb my appetite. (of course fruit too). For me graham crackers or wheatables does the trick. I really like yogurt covered raisins too, but they aren't too filling. They just make a good snack in between meals. I am big on smoothies too. Now those are filling.

I read somewhere, sorry I don't remember where so I can't give credit to whomever, that the number one cause of hunger pain is dehydration. The first thing I do when I get hungry is to drink a big glass of water, if that doesn't work, and it usally doesn't I like to snack on baby carrots or pretzels.
