Thumbs up A hint for dry, cracked winter skin!

Ok this info is hot off the presses, straight from my doctor!!! My feet were dry and cracked and so sore!!! I asked him what I should do about it and he said "Don't use lotions on them, lotions contain alcohol which actually caused them to dry out more". And guess what I had been doing all along??? His suggestion, use baby oil after your bath or shower to lock the moisture into your skin. For cracked heals and such, put Vasiline on your feet in the morning and evening and always after your shower. I've been doing this since Thursday evening and I can already see and feel a huge improvement in my feet. So there ya go!!!!!

Gotta love a cheap fix like Vaseline! WOO HOO!!!! And baby oil won't break the bank either compared to the often pricey lotions and stuff.

I used to do this all the time. I keep a bottle of baby oil ($ store) in the shower. When I was all done I would use maybe 2-3 tablespoons for my whole body, rinse off the excess then pat dry.

It works best if the pores of your skin are open from the warm (hot in my case) water.

    Safety Tip:

Please be careful in the shower when using baby oil, it is very slippery. Always wash down the tub/shower unit when finished or the next person in there can slip and fall!

Don't ask me how I know this! I was the next person!

These is a good tip that so often I forget. I would put the vaseline on my feet before bed and put on thick socks - I love how it makes my feet so soft!

Yeah, that vasoline is good stuff! My mom smears it all over her face twice a day, under her makeup. She has extremely dry skin and it feels wonderful to her. Nice and cheap, too.
