I am Whining - you can ignore me
I'm having a whining day, feel free to skip this thread. I don't know what's wrong with me. For the last few days I have felt so achy all over, especially my lower back. If I had any other symptoms, I'd swear I had the flu. I am really fatigued, much more than just tired. It seems to be in my mind as well, like I am moving in slow motion. I feel horrible but yet can't really say there is anything in particular wrong. I am taking my usual meds including the thyroid stuff and the Prozac and really don't think this achy thing has anything to do with that.
At work, I am swamped. Suddenly we have tons of work to do and they expect me to get it all out as if I was on full time. They put me on part time 2 years ago because we were so slow and now I am pushing myself as hard as I can to try and keep up. Discussed the possiblity of more hours with the boss, he said no.
Yesterday Ryan's school called AGAIN. This time she had fallen in the lunch room and the school nurse thought her arm was broken. Spent 3 very long hours in our disgustingly dirty emergency room so that she could be x-rayed. No broken arm just a nasty sprain. Got a soft cast/splint thing and she's back at school wearing it for the rest of this week. I am glad it wasn't broken! I have very good insurance (Thank God) and the stupid lady at the hospital actually looked at me and said, how do you plan on paying your copay TODAY? I was tired, my dd was in pain, not a good time to mess with me. I looked back at her and very flatly said - I'm Not. Icing on the cake of life. (Ins. will pay the whole amount because it was an accident).
Okay I've whined enough for the moment. Go ahead and give me a good kick in the bottom and tell me to get over it!
Mel is being a pain in the ***. He is doing his own pity party and is not helping with squat at home. It burns me up when I am cleaning the kitchen and everyone else has packed the trash can to overflowing and can't empty it out. ERRRR He is in one of his moods and is barely speaking to me or Ryan. We just stay out of his way. Lovely home atmosphere.

Aww Pat
I know what you mean about the aches and pains, that is exactly what I had last week, felt like the flu but I never really got it, just 3 days of feeling lousy. Hope it passes for you soon.
I'm glad to hear Ryan didn't break her arm, although a sprain isn't fun either. Give her a hug for me.

Aw Pat, I'm sorry.
(have you considered that you could have a uti-urinary tract infection...?) Seems like when we aren't feeling well that all heck breaks loose. I hope Ryan's arm gets better soon. Rest up (?!) and maybe you'll feel better (wouldn't hurt to try some cranberry juice for good measure
).

You can get that yucky feeling from dehydration, too. Are you drinking enough water? Hope you feel better and that life eases up for ya...sending hugs and prayer!

My diagnosis is overworked & underappreciated.
You are tired & need some taking care of. Can't write you a prescription that will make things better but you can't be superwoman & the men need to know that.
Hope you can find a way to get these guys to realize that you are doing the best you can and need some help.
Hey guys, cut Pat some slack & be nice!!!
Glad your little sweetie is going to be OK.
Hang in there!!!

I agree with Darlene. I think you are stressed out and just need a breather. Take a time out and rest.
I'm so glad Ryan's arm wasn't broken!

It could be kidneys, but mostly I think you need a lot more support from dh. Tell him to pull his finger out, get you a cup of tea and to stop being so childish
I hope you feel better soon.

Oh thanks everyone. I needed that warm fuzzys from you guys. I am taking the evening off, refusing to do anything that is not life or death around here. I came straight home from work and told Mel that it was his turn to pick Ryan up at her after school program. He was not happy but he did go get her. She's in a rotten, grouchy mood so I'm just going to hid in my room until they both straighten up.

Oh Pat, I'm so sorry your feeling bad. It must be catching, I was in the funk last week. Thanks to everyone here and you Pat, I'm feeling much better.
Your problem sounds like stress. I know what it's like to work for a company that puts so much on your table. The TV station I worked for downsized and I was doing the work of 4 people. I can't remember anyone ever saying, "Thank You" though.
Take a nice warm soothing bath. Make sure you take a book with you, it helps.
