Thank you everyone. Michelle, I know it's not the most frugal thing in the world but most of the time I eat a lot of lean cuisines. I also am VERY careful not to get too hungry or I pig out. If dh goes to McDonald's instead of a hamburger I have something from their low fat menu.
A yummy treat to me is subway's chicken sweet onion with NO mayo or cheese. I try to make a lot of stir-fry's and measure out only half a cup of rice or pasta. I eat as many veggies as I want and no soda. I work hard everyday to TRY to drink my water.
For breakfast I have a low-fat breakfast bar. Make sure you read the label!!!! Sometimes I have oatmeal or poached egg on dry toast. I also no longer put butter on my sandwiches or veggies. You get used to it and don't even think about it after a while.
I also say to myself everyday, "just for today, I will eat healthy and low-fat" Don't think of it as six months or a year. That is too hard. I also don't think of trying to lose 20 or 30 lbs. Break it down. Say, "I am going to lose 5 lb's!" That feels easier to attain. Hope this helps.
