have you ever charted a whole person wheel?
A whole person wheel is divided into six sectors around a core (you) - to have a well balanced life you look for the sectors that are unevenly balanced on your wheel for example if work is 60% of your life and spirituality is only 8% you are going to have a pretty uneven balance. Percentage is based on time spent in a week in your awake hours but it can include sleep ing time ( physical )- It just depends if you want to do a 24/7 which can be very revealing - especially if all you are doing is sleeping or not!!
The segments are :
Physical - Exercise, rest, play ( perhaps fishing, running)
Emotional - What ever truly lifts your spirits (Peace & quiet time, laughing really hard, etc)
Well- Being - being centered. Inner security and self pride (connecting w/ nature, ...)
Family & Friends - Time spent building loving relationships. Belonging, groups, community.(look for who needs more time in your relationship segment.)
Fun & adventure - This should be on a regular basis - builds memories. Fun is Valuable - get EXCITED about things.
Contributing to others - Supporting, sharing, helping out. Knowledge, experience & physical help. generocity kindness, charity.
And the ceneter is YOU- How are you feeling?? think before you say yes to anything to reduce stress and anxiety and help keep your wheel balanced.
An unbalanced wheel can not role. If each segment was a person standing in a circle holding hands but one person was backwards or only offered one hand your circle wouldn't be perfect - this is my analogy.
