What are your "must haves" in your medicine cabinet?
With the cold and flu season coming upon us, I was wondering what you all have stocked up on to help prevent and/or to get you through this nasty time of the year?
Here is my list:
Tylenol
Natural Allergy meds
Vitamins C, E and B
Calcium
Cranberry extract
Multi-vitamins
Echinachea
Goldenseal
Green Tea Extract
Tea Tree Oil (great for so many things)
Boric acid (for yeast infections and also for pink eye, don't use orally!)
Pepto Bismol
Rescue Remedy
Acidopholis
Vicks vapor rub
Throat Coat tea
cough drops
decongestants
cough medicine

vicks And a vaporizer
we use the green tea bags and Echinacea Tea Bags.

We rarely get colds or flu and we take vitamins every day so our medicine chest only contains paracetamol, cough drops, CoQ10 and emu oil.
Good to see you on the emu oil too, country bumpkin, it's like a miracle oil.
I'm also on a wheat grass drink every day.

kids paracetamol
ibuprofen
cold salve rub incl eucalyptus , menthol , camphor
throat lozenges variety with added vit C
eucalyptus essential oil
lavender essential oil
tea tree essential oil
homemade calendula balm
and the hot water bottles for chills and steamer/vaporizer to open airways

Aspirin--cheap form the dollar store
NN pepto bismol
Excedrin PM--I take 1 tab when I really can't sleep
NN cough drops
That's about it.

All I have is generic advil. I try not to take any medicines becuase they really upset my stomach. Plus, I can't take pills well.
I've recently started taking those vitamin packet from Trader Joe's that are like Emergen-C (but they have more vitamins).Stacey
