    Question Pinworms!!!???

Rylie has pinworms. Not sure how he got them. I have washed all the sheets and the clothes we were wearing and we have been washing our hands alot. Has anyone else dealt with these and what else do I need to do?

We have been given meds for all 4 of us to take, too.

Unfortunately dd had them when she was tiny as well. Lots of fun! She had to take the medicine but not me and SO. Seems like the med was green. Is Rylie scratching and scooting on his bottom? That's what she did and prompted us to find out what was wrong. She got them when she really started playing outside and found all kinds of yucky germs/bugs living in the grass. I remember it was not a big deal and they went away quickly though I do believe she was on the meds for a good little bit just to be sure they were all dead. Sounds just plain gross doesn't it. Don't worry though, Rylie will be fine.

You might want to consider adding a little bit of tree tea oil to your liquid hand soap/body wash and even a bit in your dish and laundry detergent. I even add a bit to our shampoo. Whenever there is a "sick" around, I find it's a good way to help kill the bugs / easy antibacterial.

We noticed it last night. Rylie had been having a hard time pooping and he would cry everytime. So we were changing his diaper and dh saw a worm come out!! That's how we found out. We had to take a pill today and take another one in two weeks. That's it!

    Thanks for the advice Pat!!

The pills will clear it up. This is very common in young children.

We used to get them as children and our mother never seemed alarmed, just gave us a few tiny pills and that was that. My kids never did get them, but don't fret, I know lots of children who have, just like Carol said...very common
