    Unhappy My poor mom

    I feel so helpless over my mom's health. She is so ill, and it is so frustrating to be so far away and not be able to help her. She has been fighting a liver disease, (not caused from drinking,) for the last 12 years- then, the drugs she took for that caused damage to the tendons in her ankles, so she could hardly walk. The surgery to repair the damage didn't work, and now it's worse than ever- She now has Parkinson's disease, but cannot take many of the medications for it because of her liver, and now she has another auto immune disorder- they aren't sure what kind, but her legs are swollen up terribly.
    Sometimes I don't know how she goes on- She lives alone and where she stays just now, there is no family. I cannot wait to get to Minnesota to try and get her moved there, where at least we can be there for her.
    Sometimes, life seems so unfair.

    I'm so sorry to hear this, I can empathise with you as my mom lives in England and she has been in poor health with one thing and another for years. I worry about her a lot and dad too.
    I cannot get to see them and so it makes things worse.

    Thank you all- I know this is one place where I can come, pour out my troubles and always feel better because of the caring here, and the place I can come to share my victories, because I know you all share in them too- Once again, thank you from the bottom of my heart. I believe in my heart that there are a lot of reasons why this move seems to be going well, and why it seems like this is definitely the best thing for us-
    I pray that I will be able to turn this challenging experience with my mom into something very worthwhile- that no matter how it might end- she will receive a great deal of comfort from me.

    I'm so sorry to hear about all that your mom is going through. I hate being so far away from my family also and not being able to help them when they need me.
