Sick of getting sick!
I just recently got over the stomach flu and I've come to realize I've been sick alot this year! If its not one thing its another! So, I need some advice!
I'm usually not one to take any sort of pills or vitamins. However, I've noticed that alot of times right after my monthly I get sick! Either my Iron drops, or I get a cold, or the flu, or something else. This year I've just felt like crap!
I've just turned 30 this year, however, I still treat my body as if it was in it's 20s and sometimes teens! Not getting enough sleep, doing too much, trying to please everyone etc!
I'd like some tips on what you all do to stay healthy? Any vitamins you take on a regular basis etc. Since I'm probably getting married this coming year I want to make sure I stay healthy with the stress, and really take care of my body.
Any tips or advice would be awesome!
I do yoga a few times a week right now. I mostly eat pretty healthy however, It doesn't seem to be enough.
Thank you girls!!!

The one bit of advice i could give that will make a difference is to get enough sleep.
I take vitamins every day and have done for over 20 years and I know that makes a difference to me.
Good luck with whatever you do and I hope your health improves.

Lisa, I will post some articles over in natural health on building the immune system etc. Rhonda is right about getting the proper amount of sleep. Our bodies depend on it to keep our immune systems going strong. There is alot of repair work going on in the body when you are sleeping.

~I eccho the good nights sleep.
~I also think that allowing yourself to say no is a good thing. No to being pulled in diff directions, no to always being everybody's everything,no to putting yourself last.
~realizing that worrying really doesn't help anything & that things do always find a way of working out.
~Daily multi vitamin
~walk
~enjoy the world around you
Hope you feel better soon.

Thank you for the tips.
I know I need to figure out a better sleeping pattern. I've noticed if I get less than 6 hours or more than 6 hours in the beginning of the week I'm more tired, however if I sleep only 6 hours in the beginning of the week and sleep more at the end of the week I feel good most of the time. I'm just having a hard time finding the right sleeping pattern for me, and not to mention my mind is always going! Laugh.
I'm going to start working on that this week and figure out what it is that I need as far as sleep goes. Make a routine of going to bed at the same time every night and waking up at the same time every morning.
I should really start taking a Multi Vitamin, I'll look into that this week also. Anyone know of a good one?
I have alot to work on but I know it's important and my body is obviously telling me that!

Lisa, I have posted this site before, and I will post it again to purchase vitamins wholesale. www.vitacost.com I buy the ALIVE vitamin by Naturesway. It is a wholefood multivitamin/mineral supplement. I buy the ironfree one because I get enough iron from my pasture fed beef and my barleygrass and dandelion root I take. I also take the NSI B complex for added energy. Too much iron in the blood can cause serious problems, just as not having enough can
You would also (as would most of the population) benefit from taking a quality magnesium supplement. It activates over 300 metabolic processes that go on in our bodies. I buy mine from www.vites.com It's called Natural Calm and is a powder that dissolves in warm water, and goes right to the cells. So many people take the wrong form/kind of magnesium and get very little benefit from it. Mine is also shipped on the auto ship every month. And last but not least, make sure you get your EFA's www.barleans.com has some great articles on the many health benefits of taking EFA"S. Hope this helps
