Pulling up this old post:
How do you like Slim in Six? I'm thinking about picking it up at Target, but haven't convinced myself to spend the $40 yet.
Otherwise, I do a bit of Firm, Leslie's WATP, George Foreman's Circuit Box and Walk Box, Cathe's Basic Step and Body Fusion (I don't use the step and just use a mat on the floor to simulate a step when my knees are bothering me), Tae-Bo, and Ramping videos with my Ramp.
I'm thinking about doing Power 90 too. They send you new workouts every so often. Haven't talked myself into that money yet either..

Bumping this post up again since I've turned to DVDs instead of renewing my gym membership (I swear when it comes to exercise, the only way to guarantee I will stay on my butt all day is to buy a gym membership!!! lol).
I sometimes borrow exercise DVDs from my library but I got a bit tired of the selection so I "invested" in a few DVDs of my own (still cheaper than a gym membership!!). I own (and use on a regular basis) the following DVDs:
Jari Love - Get Ripped 1000 (Jari Love's Ripped workouts are FANTASTIC! I highly recommend them to intermediate/advanced exercisers)
Gaiam - Total Body Cardio (has two workouts - a 50 minute one and a shorter 30 minute one)
Shape - Bikini Body Camp Redefining (has two 30 minute workouts and quickie toning sections)
Jane Fonda - can't remember the title but it's O-L-D and strictly cardio. I only use it on the days when any sort of aero-toning appears to be too much.
I also have some Stott Pilates DVDs (lol...3 of which I got free with Special K cereal from back when I ate cold cereal at breakfast) and someone just *today* gave me some more Jari Love DVDs. I've actually started exercising a lot more now that it's so "convenient" and I always keep my eyes out for DVDs at good prices. My usual sources are Winners (like TJ Maxx but in Canada), Costco and Walmart and I generally will look online for reviews before I buy one...I don't want to end up with a dud workout that can't be returned because the DVD has been opened.I want to kill my mortgage! 192,391/197,370 (since July 2011)
I'm attempting to live by the principles of The Compact in 2012. Wish me luck!
2012 Financial goals
- make an extra $15k over and above any flying pay (1705/15000)
- pay an extra $1750 off my mortgage (557/1750)
- bring EF back to $10k - $3533 left to save
- avoid lifestyle inflation
- improve investment plan (change accounts) - *grumble grumble* Bank made a mistake, need to re-do paperwork
The Financial Goals I've achieved: increased RSP contribution to $300/mth, posted budget on FV for review, saved $1600 to go on vacation
