I have had long hair down to my butt for about 20 years now...I have decided to get it cut...I would like to go shoulder length but don't know what style...can you all please give me some ideas or websites where I could check out ideas....
Oh and I really need some encouragment, I am really, really nervous about cutting off all my hair!! lol

Think of how nice it will feel to have it shorter for the warm weather. Also, have you considered donating it to Locks of Love?

I don't have any sites for you to look at, but maybe you could meet the hair stylist a bit before hand for a consultation? Or you could look at the hair style books they have for ideas? There are lots of hairstylist magazines too that you could search for ideas at a bookstore.

I just cut my very long hair the other day. *LOL*
I had just grown it back from a few years of being short. This is my second time going from very long to short, so it wasn't so bad this time. The first time I felt horrible. Truthfully, I looked so much better with it shorter. The long hair was just too heavy on me.
In my family the girls all had long hair, so cutting it was like an event for all of us. My only advice is to be certain you are ready for it and that you really want to. It can be heartbreaking otherwise. The other day I was thrilled to say goodbye. I was just so tired of it. Maybe I'll grow it back again, but I doubt it.
I'll upload a pic of me with shorter hair soon, so you can see the difference. *LOL* I wish I had some websites for you to check out.

Well, ladies I did it!!!! They cut 7 inches off my hair and I had it hightlighted copper..... I LOVE IT..... I will get a picture as soon as I get my digital camera back to show you all..... I was real nervous....I couldn't even watch...lol...but I am really glad I had it done!! Can't wait for you all to see it.....and looking forward to seeing your new look Sara....
