Do you manicure?
Ok if you could see my nails after cleaning windows yesterday....they are all short anyway but now they are peeling and chipped, no polish or clear coat....cuticles look dreadful..... . Do you do acrylic type salon nails or keep it natural, do your own manicures or what ladies? I wish I could find something that would really help mine to stay strong enough to grow out to a decent lenght. Anyone have a product they love?

I don't keep mine long, long but once they get a certain length, they seem to split and break.
I have been using Nutra Nail Maximum nail hardener and thats working good for me.
You can wear it alone or under polish!

I get mine done at a nail salon, try to each week ($10 plus tip). But after seeing Good Morning, America a day or two ago, I am thinking twice about manicures. Diane Sawyer interviewed a former model who claims that after having her first and only manicure, she contracted herpes from unsanitized nail tools and won a $3 million settlement as a result.
Although my sister's good friend Kathy goes to the same salon for her acrylic nails, I am thinking about trying to do my nails myself as a result of this report. I am glad to read of anyone's recommendations about nail strengtheners, polishes, etc.!

No at this time I don't have the time or the money for a professional manicure
No at this time I don't have the time or the money for a professional manicure!!
I do keep my nails filed , trimmed, and painted when I have the time to do that at home so I save my family and I money that could be used elsewhere!!

I would love to have mine *done* but I am afraid of the disease thing too. I have had them done in the past but for now I'm going to stick with my at home manicures. I may try that Nutra Nail, I've tried everything else so why not?! Thanks for tip

I used to work in a nail salon, so I would do my own. But now they are just natural. I can't believe how pretty my nails are. I wore fake nails for so long, but now I just keep them at an active length.

I had a manicure once and I hated it. They filed my nails on an angle (weird!) and it looked horrible. The only reason I had it done was all the bridesmaids in a friends wedding went to a salon together the morning of the wedding.
I am very hesitant to go to a salon for the previously mentioned reasons and quite frankly don't have the extra $$ to do so anyway. My nails stay bitten most of the time due to stress.

I love having manicures and pedicures done but now money is a little less so those are on the back burner for now. I do keep my nails shorter and usually keep a clear polish on them.

No. Remember back in July when I actually painted my toenails for a party I went to? Well the polish is still on 3 toes, guess I should do something about that. Just don't think about my toes much.
I like to keep my nails pretty short and don't use polish. I'm low maintainance, lol.~*Darlene*~

I posted a rave about a product a while back and I'm going to ditto it here. It's called Nail Envy by OPI. It has worked wonders for my nails. They are even on the longish side now. You have to get this at a beauty supply place......but it's well worth the trip. I wonder how long my nails will be once I start moving furniture out of my bedroom.....? I'm hoping to keep them through this redecorating....but who knows?

Lisa, I love the OPI products, they have the greatest colors of polish too. I have not tried the Nail Envy but I will pick some up the next time I am at the beauty supply. Thanks for the tip Lisa.

I go sometimes when we have the extra money or when Dave gives me a GC to the salon. This weekend I'm going to get mine done--my SIL's tread
