Losing it...
I started my weight loss project the week between Christmas and New Years. I am slowly getting the pounds off. The two things that have really helped me are the following:
1. I stopped drinking regular CocaCola. By eliminating these, I cut 300 calories a day.
2. I stopped drinking a big glass of OJ with breakfast every morning; another 250 calories a day gone.
3. I dusted off the exercise bike and do 30 minutes five days a week. 150 calories a day gone.
4. I cook the same meals but cut my portion size and added a salad and a vegetable. I also switched from butter to the I Can't Believe It's Not Butter spray.
Decreased calories + Increased exercise = Weight Loss
Who would have guessed???
7.8 pounds gone ---> 32.2 pounds to go

That's awesome. Pop and juice were my big cutbacks too.

Hi Florence! Way to go! I have also lost about 7 lbs. since Jan. I cut out regular sodas. Instead of a whole glass of juice I only drink a coffee cup of juice for breakfast, if at all. I also switched from whole milk to 1%. I have also just cut my portions down. Cut out the ice cream or popcorn every night. Switched to wheat bread. I don't feel like I am dieting, just changed some habits. I think something finally clicked in my head. I am not sure what my goal weight is, I would like to reach 155 by the end of this month. I haven't seen most of my family since Christmas, so they will be surprised to see me. I am 162 in a size 8. So at 155 I should be a size 6. I have a muscular build, that's what is confusing. Because I'd like to say my goal is 135, but I'd be a size 2 probably. Sorry to ramble on, but it's exciting!! I'm getting to buy smaller clothes for the first time ever!! Good luck Florence and I'd love to keep up with your progress since we have lost about the same amount and on the same sort of plan!
