O/T - about my looks
Well, as you all know I've been doing pretty well with my nutrition, (not so much) exercise and subsequent weightloss and have been feeling pretty good...
Well, I met up with one old my best mates from school at the rugby on Sunday and he was sat next to me. We were chatting at half time and he said to me "you know, you've always looked a lot younger that you actually are but OMG your wrinkles are getting obvious".
I won't tell you what I said to him
Well cheers, thanks fella!
I'm just glad I'm not an emotional eater or that might well have been it. But you know, maybe it was a good thing - he's just saying what DH won't say. I'm not that bothered about looking a bit older really, but I don't want someone to point it out for me I OWN A MIRROR!
So, I'm trying to turn it into a good thing... no more booze at all, even more water, and no caffine, let's see if that makes any difference! If not I guess I'll be looking for some industrial strength concealer!
BTW, I turned 30 in January.

That guy keeps talking to women like that & he's gonna be a very lonely boy.

You just keep on doing what makes you feel good

That guy is an idiot, don't you listen to him. Just keep doing what you have been, cuz in the end, what YOU think is all that matters!

I want to think that maybe he's the male version of an old maid....? And who could wonder why...! I'm sorry he was hurtful, aging is part of the deal. Ya know...I'm sure he didn't look very much younger than his actual age either! Did you mention his receding hairline, increasing waistline and is that a bald spot......?

What a thoughtless comment.
Please don't let this discourage you. Keep working on your weight loss and eating healthy. You should feel proud of trying to take better care of yourself.

Thanks everyone, I just needed to get it out in the open. I know his mother raised him to be more polite than that.
I think I took the moral highground as I DIDN'T mention the fact that he's got grey hair, even when he asked me if my hair was dyed! He must feel sensitive about it.

Wow -- yet another tactless male. And I was worried there was a shortage. Lol.....well I hardly think you have any reason to worry at only 29. Hopefully he'll think better next time -- sounds like he's having his OWN aging issues and just pushed them onto you....
