Do you brush your tongue?
Dh brushes his tongue and has taught dd to brush hers when she brushes her teeth as well. This was never something I was taught to do growing up and it's not something that I do now because it makes me gaggy.
Do you? Are you supposed to? What's the deal with it?My Blog: http://amysreallife.wordpress.com

I do. I read somewhere that is holds a large portion of your mouths odors.
I have taught Alex to do the same. Michael does not. I think it makes him gagy too, Amy.

Yes I do. It makes your breath much fresher Amy. So go get your brush and go ahead and gag. You'll get used to gagging and brushing, brushing and gagging but you'll have sweeter breath for it.

I don't because it makes me gag too. BUT my sil is a dental hygenist and says everyone is suppose to brush their tongue and that you should have 2 toothbrushes, one for your teeth and one for your tongue.

I do...my mom taught me that when I was taught to brush my teeth, so I have done it forever.

I absolutely brush my tongue- and according to DH, I very seldom ever have a problem with my breath. Only time I didn't, was when I was pregnant- it made me real gaggy!

I sometimes do.
The way to not gag (well, it's what I was told and it works for me) is to not stick the toothbrush straight back in your throat on your tongue, but to do it "sideways". Stick your tongue out and brush back to front with your toothbrush such that the length of your toothbrush is parallel with your shoulders. I hope that explanation makes sense.
malakito.
