3 Lbs more this morning?!?!?
So why is my weight 3 lbs more this morning than yesterday morning? No its not that time of the month, just in case someone might suggest that. Can my scale be that screwy? Its a digital scale --- from WalMart.
I'm following (not scrupulously closely) a diet plan given to me by Diet Center several years ago. And I had about 30 minutes of exercise yesterday.~~Jean~~

Your weight fluctuates SO much every day and throughout the day. I don't know the answer, but I'd give it a day or two before I began to believe it was "real."
And sure, it *could* be your scale. Give yourself a few days.
ETA- and I hate mornings when I wake up and my scale is higher than it was yesterday! I don't step on again for a couple days.

do you track your weight everyday? I know I have days where I am higher, but it usually falls off over the next few days with some extra
Good luck!

Yes, I can't help myself -- I feel compelled to weigh every morning. I've heard you should do it once a week -- and use those results; I'll try to be more forgiving on myself.
Just as an example -- this morning I got on and off the scale 4 times and it gave me 4 different weights with a 4 pound range!!! Aaaaggggh..
I'm just restarting (after a winter of binges and laziness) on a weight loss pursuit and life style adjustment. I'd LIKE to lose 40 lbs, but 25-30 is probably more realistic.
Thank you ladies for support and encouragement!~~Jean~~

To be honest I think it might be a good idea if you do take a break from weighing yourself, because of things such as water retention weight can fluctuate pretty quickly. Also if your scales may not be getting change to readjust themsekves properly if you are getting on them repeatedly in a short period of time.
If you are just restarting and trying to change your lifestyle maybe it would be better to focus on that for the time being, you'll be surprised at how little you may want to weigh yourself once your diet and exercise have changed even a little. you'll be able to feel and see the changes yourself rather than relying on the scales.
Just my opinion (from the person who broke her scales when she stood on them). Best of luck and don't forget to keep us all informed on your progress!

I think you should choose one day a week to weigh yourself. Then after you weigh on that day, put the scales away. Then you won't be tempted if you have to keep getting them out.
Your weight does fluctuate throughout the day. You usually weigh less in the morning than in the evening.~*Michelle*~

I weigh first thing in the morning. I find it helps keep me in check. My scales are digital from Wal-Mart. I haven't had any problems with them. I would just suggest weighing in the mornings.

I got on the scales one time this morning and it read one lb less than on Friday. So hopefully this is a trend!
Yes, I weigh first thing in the morning, and before I shower (don't want any rehydration adding a few ounces!). It occurred to me that since my scales are solar powered that maybe they are not getting fully charged. I always have to hold them up to the light to get them charged enough to weigh. I'll try setting them in the sun now that there is more of that! I'll also try weighing one day a week. Thanks!~~Jean~~

Don't feel bad, I am on them first thing in the morning after I tinkle!
My husband is worse, he is on it constantly... he has lost 30 pounds since january and has 15 to go and he is struggling with those last 15!

I feel like a real whiner -- but I'm not that way really! I've been sick since Saturday and am just now beginning to get some energy back. Maybe I'll even get caught up on my exercising!
I have lost a few more pounds (down a total of 4 now) but it may also be because of the "vigil" I had in the bathroom Monday night. (I know, TMI!).
Congrats to your husband! He's an inspiration!~~Jean~~
