Thanks all. I will look for the parasite kit. I take coral calcium myself and will start giving it to her. Maybe that will help me remember it better.

Glad to hear that Ryan finally has a diagnosis. I suffer from acid reflux as does Josh (he's even had surgery to try and help it). All the advice the others have offered are exactly what I do. I never thought of the parasite kit but it sure makes sense to me!
Tell Ryan to hang in there, now that she is on medication it should help.

I'm glad that is all it is! I use Prevacid myself and it works wonders, a few days without it though and I'm back to being sick on my stomach all the time so make sure she takes it!

I'm so glad you got a diagnosis for Ryan. Sounds like the meds should help but the diet change is certainly in order.
I have it too and things I can't eat are anything spicy including Spaghetti Sauce, Sloppy Joes, any of the tomotoe family foods. No Orange Juice of any kind. No koolaid. Onions and Bellpeppers only occasionally like in a meatloaf. Salad stuff like cucumbers and even pickles upset my stomach. I can't stand to even smell the hamburger helper stuff as it always upsets my stomach. Some sausage also upsets my stomach.
I'm pretty much on a bland diet. Things I can eat are Milk, and about any milk products like cheese except the fried Cheese Sticks, something about the coating that comes on it makes me sick to my stomach. Turkey, chicken and fine for me and steak once in a while. Oatmeal and eggs and bacon. Make my own garlic toast because the pre-buttered and seasoned toast from the store is way too greasy. I can still eat fried chicken fingers and french fries but only in moderation. I can also eat Pizza as long as the sauce isn't too spicy and it doesn't have sausage on it.
Eating this way keeps me from having to take the medicine unless I mess up and eat something I shouldn't have.
Hope you find what is causing the problem."Success on any major scale requires you to accept responsibity."

She's sick again today but we are keeping our fingers crossed that the medicine will kick in soon. I'm thinking 3 - 4 days of being on the Prevacid and she should feel better at least. Do you think that's reasonable????

Glad she's got medication and it's nothing too serious. Hoping it offers her relief soon.

Yes, I think you will know in 3 or 4 days if the prevacid will do the job.
I wonder if you could try Tums in the meantime? I THINK you can take them simultaneously. If Tums work, even for a short period, then you could be pretty sure she is making too much acid.~~Jean~~
