Family Practioner?
AFamily Practioner has both adults and children as patients, right? I'd love to have the same doctor for both myself and the kids. And just wanted to make sure I was right.

Yes, although many times a family practioner will refer you to a pediatricion for your kids and if your in some areas, will not deliver babies.
Our family doctor does everything and only refers if you need a specialist. We've been very happy with that arrangement.

We have one in the family
He sees patients of all ages and only refers them for specialist Consultations if required.
In the UK all patients are seen first by their GP (General Practitioner-AKA Family Doctor) you have to see them first in order to get a referal to a Doctor in any other specialist branch of Medicine ie.Paediatrics (English sp
) at the Hospital.
