Any one had a Nerve Removed from a Tooth?

I have had the odd Root Canal Done years ago, but never had a Nerve removed from a Tooth.

Just been to the Dentist and had a filling, but if this doesn't sort the problem thenhaving the nerve removed is the next step

Any one had one? what is it like, should I start getting "my affairs in order"? LOL or is it it just like a "Root canal"?

i have had several of my nerves rmoved from my teeth(i have really bad teeth) and dont understand why it wasnt removed already..i think if u have pain the nerve should be removed..

by the way i have have spend thousands on my teeth including getting braces as an adult.
