First 10 pounds gone!
Yay! Despite my squirrely scales, I am confident that I have finally lost my first 10 pounds. I began this on April 1 and have had a couple of setbacks in my exercise schedule because I got sick for a few days in early April and again in early May. However, the stomach flu in May I think actually helped get me down a pound or two -- a heck of a way to lose weight.
If nothing else, I can tell the weight is going because I no longer have to lie down on the bed to snap my jeans --- whew! I'm only weighing once a week and it has helped my psychological well being tremendously -- that up and down business of my goofy scales was horrifying.
Needless to say, I'm tickled about the first 10 pounds. Now I've got another 20 to go -- ideally. I'd like to lose most of this before we go on vacation in July so I can finally feel confident enough to go swimming with my kids. I've always sent my husband to take them to the pool at any motel we have stayed in, but my goal is to do it myself this summer.
In addition to exercising, I'm following a diet I was given by Diet Center 10 years ago. It worked well then, but I gained the weight back plus another 10 pounds on top of it since then.~~Jean~~
