    Question Pancreatitis

    Anyone have any information on pancreatitis? That is what DH was diagnosed with. Any information would be helpful! TIA

    My brother in law had an attack of it and was hospitalized for a week. I know it can be miserable. He was told NO MORE ALCOHOL (not that he drank heavily), and some other diet modifications, but I can't recall the exact particulars.

    I think webmd.com would be a very helpful site for you.

    My dad had it. Actually I think is something you always have but, can control flare ups though diet and exercize. I know it is very painful. He was told to cut out butter, gravy, alcohol, and to limit his red meat intake to the bare min.

    Ooooouuuch I've heard it's terribly painful. I had also heard at some point in time that it can be caused by passing a gall stone into the pancreas...? Is that right? I hope he gets the medical attention that he needs and gets over it soon.
