Appendicitis?
Have you had your appendix out? I haven't, and I'm nervous that a cramping in my right side may be appendicitis.
Symptoms? I've read online about the symptoms, and I don't have any except for this pain in my side (and it's in the upper quadrant, not the lower one).

I still have mine Chelle, but Jack just said when his ruptured, the pain was on the right side between his belly button and groin area.
If this persists, please get to your doctor or a walk in clinic.

It sounds like a bowel spasm to me, REAL Appendicitis usually comes on acutely and often presents with unremitting pain.
If it is "upper" it could be your Gall Bladder, I know I am not the only Nurse in the FV but I would strongly suggest you go see a Doctor and get them to examine you, as with the best will in the world all our suggestions as to what it might be are not worth a lot compared to a Doctor checking you out and putting your mind at rest or getting you further tests.
Hope you get it sorted out soon

I was thinking more of the gall bladder too. I am not a nurse though nor a doctor.
I would have it checked too just to put your mind at ease.~*Michelle*~

We had a scare with ds in December, we were told he had acute appendicitis and after a night in the pediatric ward the surgeon said nope.........but my point is that he told us that a good portion of people who have appendicitis don't even know it......hard to believe since everyone I know who has had it tell me that they were in excruciating pain and very ill!!!
I agree.....don't let it persist!! Get checked out and I hope you are feeling better soon!!

I have had several times where I had horrible pain in my lower right side. Turned out to be caused by gas. It happened just the other night as a matter of fact. I thought for sure it was going to be my apendix, but it went away.

I had mine out when I was 12. You don't want it to rupture. It could be very dangerous. I'd get to the doctor ASAP. I knew of a girl in high school who died of a ruptured appendix.
