Default anyone else dealing with ovarian tumours?

I had been having increasingly painful periods. Finally couldn't take it anymore and went to the doctor. he sent me to get an u/s. Well turns out that there is fluid in my pelvic area, and tumours growing on each ovary.

    Explains why I hurt!

now I have to wait to have another u/s in August to see what the tumours are doing. then we will decide from there.

Until then I am on painkillers and anti inflammatory.

    ick!

Yes, I have them too. Painful periods here too! My GYN put me on Yasmin (birth control) and it did seem to help. She said the BC will shrink them. Anything was worth a try...didn't want surgery.

I hope they find something to help you and get them under control.

santoria...sweetie, i'm not trying to scare you....but if the pain gets really intense, please get to an emergency room quickly.....when i had just found out that we were expecting our third baby....an ovarian cyst ruptured in my right ovary and caused massive internal bleeding...i didn't even have the signs that i had a cyst...just woke up in the middle of the night with excrutiating pain that became worse as i tried to "wait it out"...at first i thought that it was gas b/c i felt very bloated...then a few hours later i felt a sharp pain & then i couldn't stand up to get dressed..b/c everytime that i would breath it hurt my chest & shoulders...i also felt very nauseated when i tried to stand up....dh finally got me to the er...tests weren't run until 4 hrs later...did an u/s & saw a big mass on the right side & thought that it was an ectopic pg....when they finally got in there...they found that it was a ruptured cyst ....they removed the cyst and i was fortunate to keep my ovary.....what had scared me was that one of the doc's told me that she almost sent me home....good thing that they kept me b/c if they hadn't operated when they did, there wouldn't have been anything that they could've done for me b/c of the internal bleeding...... so please... if you feel the type of pain that i described and it keeps getting worse..don't hesitate getting to the er..........we had a successful pg & had a little girl that we named amber grace..........if it hadn't been for God's grace, neither of us would be here now.....amber is now 16.

I had a complete hysterectomy at age 25 (which was not without it's own complications) due to this very thing. I was not able to function normally for more than 1/2 of my time and had many ruptured cysts. The pain and disability from it just got to not be worth it anymore. I'm pain free, but hormones are always challenging. I hope you get relief.
