Holly Update...
Hi everyone.
Please send good thoughts and prayers our way.
Holly is getting worse, and only escaped admission to the hospital becasue she has NO disease fighting ability at all, and the hospital floor is full of very sick kids. Tuesday she had an ANC count of 400 (normal for her is 1500ish) today it's 156. We got IV antibiotic today as well.
She has a raging sinus infection they found out today. They did xrays not only of her chest, but her sinus' too.
We spent all day in the clinic today and have to go back tomorrow. It is 2 1/2 hrs driving one way. We left at 6:15am today and got home a bit after 5:15pm. And it looks just as bad tomorrow or worse. They may transfuse her tomorrow after the iv anitbiotic, OR make us go back on Wed. for the transfusion
Please pray that she can stay out of the hospital and that her counts start to recover. Also that they discover why all of this is going on and that we get back on track very very soon. It is so tough on Holly. She just wants to hang out with her friends and be "normal"
My oldest dd, who just graduated Sat, is being the great helper again. She cleaned the house so we could safely bring Holly home. I am sure it brought back horrible memories for her from when Holly was diagnosed. She also took care of her younger brother today and drove her sister to work. She is being an absolute God send!! She is handling everything very well. I am so proud of her!!
Thank you for all your support through this trying time.

Oh Arlene, I hope they figure out what is going on and get those counts up. You are always in my thoughts.
Please, if you need anything or the children do, email or call me! I can be there in an hour.
Give Lisa a hug for me and one for Holly too.

I'm sorry to hear this Arlene, I'll be hoping for some answers, good counts & that Holly feels better soon.

Congratulations to your other dd on her graduation and the way she cares about her sister and you... she's a lovely young lady.

Arlene, I'm so sorry that you, Holly, and your family are going through this. Praying that her neutrophil count goes up-up-up and that infection takes a hike.

Hi everyone we are back, and they did not admit Holly :yay:
But her counts are STILL dropping and we are going back tomorrow for a transfusion. She will get 2 units of prc. Hopefully this will perk her up and start her road to recovery.
Thank you for all your positive thoughts and prayers!!
