    Default What Not To Wear

Does anyone have any of these books? I have the first one and I love it.

I don't follow it completely, but it has helped me realize some "don'ts". When I first thumbed through it, I thought "how do they know what looks good on me and what doesn't", but soon realized they were just picking body parts and clothes that do nothing for body parts, such as a flabby tummy.

Has anyone taken to following any of the suggestions? If so, which ones?

I've read two of these books. I can't say I follow them but I try to be mindful of some of their suggestions. For instance I'm pretty short (5'4) so I try to avoid shoes that wrap around my ankle (making me look shorter). I'm not a big "clothes" person and I usually wear solid colors, which is something they suggest if I remember correctly.

It's a show on the BBC and on TLC. It's like a makeover show. .

    This is the show:

The American version is alright, but the BBC's version is so much better.

I didn't know there were books! I watch the show sometimes. I watched it everyday for about a week. I was in Kohl's a few days later looking at the sale rack. I kept fearing that Stacey & Clinton would sneak up on me and grab stuff out of my hands!

I've had the first book for a couple of years now, I haven't looked at it for a while but it is interesting even if you're not a clothes person. It's helpful to think you're buying the right stuff so you don't have to go out shopping again .

I haven't seen the US version of the show, but I think Trinny and Susanna are really funny. But then I can say that as they've never approached me in the street and started their prodding and poking!
