Default Shock as I'm figuring out my WW points...

I just can't believe how much of my daily points my favorite fast food choices would use up!   I am just starting WW at home, and learning today about points and how to calculate them.  I went to a site that listed popular restaurants and points values, and looked up some of my favorites.

Keep in mind that my TOTAL daily allowance is around 24 points:

    TACO BELL
    Taco Supreme:  5pts
    Meximelt: 6pts
    Taco: 4pts

    McDONALD's
    Breakfast Burrito: 8pts

    WENDY's
    Jr Bacon Cheeseburger: 9pts
    Grilled Chicken Sandwich: 6pts
    Broccoli Cheese Baked Potato: 9pts
    Spicy Chicken Filet: 9pts
Grilled Chicken Salad (no dressing) 4pts
Ranch Dressing for above salad: 6pts

    ARBY's
    Deluxe Baked Potato:  14pts
    Beef N' Cheddar: 12pts

And that's without figuring in the soda I usually drink with a meal at one of these place.  I think some places if I got a large soda and one item I would use up all of my points for the entire day.

I mean, I knew fast food was fattening, but WOW.   Talk about opening my eyes!

I guess if I memorize this list and maybe watch that "Supersize Me" movie, I'll be able to stay completely away from fast food!

Yup...it's the first thing I've had to cut out. And I am not one of those who can go to McD's and order a hamburger with a side salad with light dressing...nope, not me...it's a number 1 with no onion or nothing.

compromise is something I'm going to have to learn on WW

I think once you get used to the point system you will find that you can eat more than you think. I have a friend who does WW and she seems to be able to comsume alot of food in one day and she has done well with WW.

Yeah, I was disappointed at first too. Just a heads up, the first week modifying what you ate and what you will be eating, is tough. I almost quit about 5 days out of the first week!

BUT, you'll drop a few pounds at least in the first week.

I wish I could find some of the food points lists for you.... lemme look.
