Shampoo
What kind do you use? How happy are you with it? How much does it cost?
I am trying to find an alternative to my "designer" shampoo but I really like how my hair looks health-wise so I don't want to sacrifice that...but I need some suggestions.

I use Suave and V05, both of which I can get for free with coupons and sales. I find that with both of them my hair is just as great as when I used to buy salon products. I've got an enormous stockpile of shampoo/conditioner products in my basement, all for free or under .10 each.

Tresemme has good shampoo. Also, I love Avon's shampoos. I decided to try them on a whim and they worked great. They're for all types of hair, too.
Dove's hair care products suprised me, frankly. Great products for a couple bucks. Love their moisturizing shampoo. I'm usually a Redken girl, myself.
HTH!

The fragrances are soft and not too "up your nose".

We use whatever is on sale. Usually Suave or White Rain. I have some Dove know which I really like because my hair is color treated and dries out in the summer. Right now I think I may have to go to a pricier shampoo for summer - we are in the pool everyday and my blonde highlights are turning green and we all smell like chlorine even after we shampoo!

I'm about to finish up some Pantene. I have tons and tons of the Dove shampoo and conditioner bought on sale/coupons.
I use whatever I have coupons for or whats on sale....suave,pantene,dove,VO5...I even have some white rain which I personally dont care to much for but it was free or nearly free,so I use it
it's been really humid here and my hair has been frizzy(it's naturally curly).Nothing seems to be working right now

This is one area I'm not frugal in at all. But I am using what I have before I buy more. I love the shampoo and conditioner that I get from my salon....Bumble and Bumble or Halo. I know that soon I'm going to have to buy a less expensive brand so I'm glad to hear others opinions. I have naturally curly hair that has a mind of it's own so I'm lucky to find anything that works.

Frizz? Try Frizz Ease by John Frieda. You can get it in your Walmart, Target, or a drugstore (but I've found that it's always a couple cents more there).
Tames that frizz right down!
I should know. I have extra curly hair. I have very small ringlets (I have a baby afro
) and it controls the crazies for me. HTH someone.

I like the new Suave sleek line that is a copycat of the Matrix sleek line - I find it works just as well.

I won't use any shampoo with sodium laurel sulfate in it so I have been using J/A/S/ON brand. It's $6.95 per bottle at the health food store, but I stocked up when they had a special sale and a bottle of shampoo along with a bottle of conditioner were that price (normally that much for each). When this supply runs out I'm thinking of switching to Terressentials - www.terressentials.com - I've heard fantastic things about it from an online friend that uses it.

Right now I have the Hydrating VO5 shampoo & conditioner and some Daily Defense Clarifying Suave. I also have the scented ones and rotate which ones I use.

I'm with you Kim. We are sodium laurel sulfate-free in our house. We use an organic herbal shampoo we sell in our store. It's $9.95 retail. I have a huge stockpile of it.

Most of the time I use VO5, they have a variety of products usually under a dollar and they all work great on my hair. But I do use Aussie hairspray which costs a little more but holds up well in the humidity.
