*SIGH* Vacation is SO not good for diets!
When I went on vacation last week, I decided that I was going to eat what I wanted when I wanted while I was gone, then deal with the consequences when I got home. I thought about taking my computer and my scales with me, but I just didn't want to bog down my vacation with that.
So, now I'm back, and I think I gained 2-3 pounds. I'm not starting up my program again until tomorrow, so I won't change my ticker yet. Oh, well. I had a good vacation and even the thought of having to take the time to log everything while I was on vaca just makes me queasy.
Tomorrow we will see what the damage is! The good news is that anything I have gained will probably come off quickly and eating the "extra" food on vacation has pobably given my metabolism a lirttle jump start, so I may even lose a few extra pounds more quickly than I would have had I been very careful about what I ate.

I feel your pain, Kimberly! I went to Florida a couple of weeks ago and ate the way I wanted. I gained 3 pounds! It WAS nice to eat whatever I wanted after dieting for so long!! Fresh Krispy Kreme doughnuts are heavenly!!
Never fear - one pound is gone already and the rest will soon follow. I'm sure yours will come off again very easily. Glad you enjoyed your vacation!Nothing can taste as good as being thin will feel.

Well, I didn't even do things like doughnuts and cake. I did have ice cream twice, but that was it. I just didn't restrict anything else- I had crackers, granola bars, fruit, homemade pizza, etc, when I wanted it. But it was nice to take a vacation from all the note-taking on my food.

You've done so well, though Kimberly! 17 lbs is wonderful!
Yes, a vacation should be all about doing what you WANT to do --- even if it means gaining 2 or 3 lbs. Thats not so terrible, and you are no doubt right you will have little trouble getting it off again.
Keep after it!~~Jean~~
