Default I wonder if this is doing any good

We have a neighborhood pool, which is just outside our backyard (close enough to be convenient - far enough away to hinder the noise). My kids 7 & 3 both swim like fish (the 3 year old dives to the bottom of the 5 ft. to get dive sticks!)

Anyway - I have been hanging on a pool noodle, kicking. I try and tread water for an extended period. It is hard to do laps in our pool because there are lots of kids and our pool is small. But, when there is an adult swim I try to do a few.

I am used to exercise being sweaty and my heart racing. So, I wonder if this is going to do any good. I know water exercise is good for your joints though.

What your doing is good for you!!!...I took water aerobics classes a few years back and you do get your heart rate up and you do sweat, you just don't feel the sweat in the water.....water exercise really melts the weight off you and it is so good for your joints and back...wish I could afford to go back in the fall...I use our pool as much as I can in summer
