South Beach Diet?
Anyone ever tried this? I just got some information on it (a whole book) and we got some of the pre-packaged stuff. The cereal bars are pretty good. I had always thought that it was a low carb plan, but as the books says "its not low-carb, its not low-fat, its the right carbs and the right fats." I'm pretty impressed that mostly it encourages you not to eat processed foods - something I'm trying to phase out anyways, more for monetary and environmental reasons. I'm not really out to lose weight, so I'm thinking I'm going to try jumping in at Phase 2 (since I don't need to jumpstart a weight loss effort). I also like that they have frozen meals I can take to work (right now I take Lean Cuisines, when I can find them on sale).

I haven't tried it, but I know people that have. They've lost a lot of weight. I could stand to lose 30 pounds. I've done variations of it. I've heard it's a little healthier than Atkins and easier. I think it's similar to Suzanne Somer's "Somersizing" weight-loss program.
