Thumbs down The worst bout of allergies I've ever had

I don't know what is causing this but I feel like, well...I'll spare you the expletives. My eyes are running non-stop, my nose runs a hot stream and even the non-drowsy allergy meds don't stop it AND they make me feel like I've taken a sleeping pill......all day long. I've tried very hard to stay busy and have a productive day but it ain't been easy I'll tell ya fur sure. Oh, did I mention I have a headache too?

Anyone else having allergies that you don't normally have?

Awww, Lisa, maybe you should give up on the day and go to bed. You'll probably wake up feeling better. Whenever I've taken antihistamines that make me tired, I can't not go to bed. But the good part is I always wake up feeling much better and over the sneezing attacks.

    Good luck.

Yes, mine are especially bad this year. I did hear on the news that it's a terrible year for allergy sufferers, so you're not alone. I hope you find relief and soon.

Make sure to drink lots and lots of liquids, girl, to replenish your body from all the fluids you're losing. Apple and orange juice are especially good, because of the vitamins and such.

My brother has terrible allergies, I know all about it. It was terrible, when we were kids, we could hardly ever go anywhere that had pets because of his allergies. He always wound up feeling sad and miserable, because he'd be sick and we'd have to cut our visits short.

I have to tell you that Texas allergies have got to be the worst I've encountered. It got so bad that I had to use nasal mists just to breath. There is something in the air all the time. I finally tracked down the culprit(sugar-NO KIDDING) After 15 years, I am 95% allergy free. The cedars still get me. Hang in there, October is almost here and hopefully allergy season will be over! Thanks girls. I do feel much better today. My eyes are still a little watery but nothing compared to yesterday. I hope I can get through the day without an allergy pill.

I have been using a Neti pot for over a year now. It has helped my alergies and asthma so much that I rarely need my meds./inhaler.

Lisa, I hope your allergies clear up soon.

I know how you feel. For the last few days I have had a sore throat, stuffed ears and a sneezing, running nose. I am ready for allergy season to be over!

I'm having it worse than normal this year. But we moved last year and spend a lot time in a nature area. Last time we were over there I noticed the goldenrod was in full bloom. However, hubby who is usually the one wheezin' and sneezin' is doing fine.
