Having surgery next Friday (9/9)
Some of you my remember when I was talking about a cyst off of my left ovary while I was pregnant, well when I went in for my check up last month there was one on the right. They had me come back this week to check on its status and the dr. has decided that he would like to go on an remove it.
I go in for pre-op stuff next Wed. morning and I have the surgery on Friday morning. My mil, Carol, is going to come up Thursday and stay with us and go with me Friday and I guess spend the night again. That way Joe doesn't have to worry about taking care of me and Pagie at the same time since the Dr. said I would probably be sore for a few day's and have a little bit of pain.
I still plan on taking Paige to daycare Friday morning that way Joe and Carol don't have to worry about me and try to take care of her at the same time (plus I want to get my moneys worth at the daycare since they are closed on Mon....lol)
My mom told me she would come up as well but I told her if she and my step dad wanted to wait and come up on Sunday for the day that would be fine as Saturday is their anniversary and I don't want them to have to change their plans all around.
As for work the girl I work with is going to come in an hour early Wed. so I can go to the pre-op stuff and Friday I will be off. I was planning on coming in and working at least a half a day the following Monday but my boss told me not to push myself. He said he or his wife would open instead and if Sunday I felt better and wanted to work, to call and he would let me. He said he would rather me take an extra day off to recover then to push myself & something happen and have to be out even longer.
Anyway that is what is going on in my neck of the woods right now. So keep me in your thoughts next week if you don't mind

Thanks everyone. The Dr. said I would be sore for a few day's but he also said he didn't see it keeping me down long, that the way I sailed thru childbirth and never complained of pain that hopefully I would bounce back quick this time as well...lol
I just dread the part where he say's: You can't lift anything over 5-10lbs for x amount of day's. With my job and my baby that will drive me more nuts then the surgery.

Hey dont push yourself allow your body to heal.... Take the time so you dont end up back at the Drs because you did something you shoud not have. It sounds like you have a good boss.
FernYes I'm out of my mind. It's a dark and scary place in there.
