Weight loss Guru Jorge Cruise was on The Tony Danza show to kick off The Family Fitness Challenge on Wednesday 9/15 He was talking about the 3-Hour Diet that if you eat every 3 hours (of course healthy food) you will lose fat first

The Yale University endorsed 3-Hour Diet™ is about uncovering the buried concept of timing – the fact that when you eat is critical to weight loss. By eating every three hours you’ll constantly set in motion your metabolism™ and lose two pounds every week starting with belly fat first. And you will never have to count calories or ban any foods including carbs.

Why every 3-hours? Countless numbers of research studies have confirmed the power of eating every three hours. What specifically happens if you wait more than 3 hours to eat? Well, after 3 hours your body passes a tipping point and signals your body to launch its natural “starvation protection mechanism” or your SPM. When your SPM is switched on, your body preserves the most calorie-rich tissue in the body to ensure your survival. That tissue is body fat. But there’s even more bad news. This is the most critical point you must never forget about the 3-Hour Diet™: Anytime you allow more than 3 hours to pass without eating, your body not only preserves body fat, but worst of all it begins to cannibalize precious fat-burning muscle. Yes, by waiting more than 3 hours to eat you lose muscle tissue.

I try to eat every 2-3 hours because since I have Asthma & get very bad Migraines I also get low blood sugar which causes an asthma attack or headache w/me.

I'm always eating healthy food & drinking lots of icy cold water (in the summer I usually freeze a water bottle & drink it as it melts, or freeze half a water bottle then add cold water to it so it'll stay colder longer & use an insulated neoprene sleeve so my hands don't get cold) I have water w/just about every meal, besides keeping a bottle next to me & just sipping it all day long. I get more than my 8 glasses a day. Sometimes it is funny Keona will see me drinking my bottle of water, (I buy bottled water but my tap water tastes just as good as Poland Spring water so I drink it also) then she will start drinking her bowl of water she watches everything I do & if I have something to eat both girlz want some of it but will not beg! They just sit patiently & know if they're good I'll give them some because Mommy's food is always better than there's they love yogurt which DH will never eat! I make my own so it's not too sweet.

Sometimes I think some of his health problems he got as a kid could of been helped by a better diet since he is soo picky doesn't like spinach, I finally got him to eat brussel sprouts only if they're w/butter or cheese sauce, same w/broccoli

Today's Tip
Mind Over Matter!
Let's tap into our subconscious minds today. We might be able to make positive life changes by using self-hypnosis. Self-hypnosis is a powerful tool because it allows us to become fully relaxed. When our defenses are down, we will be more receptive to challenging ourselves. Let's try a simple exercise. Lie down in a quiet, dimly lit room and look up without moving your head. Close your eyes, but keep your focus straight ahead. Take a few deep breaths - in through your nose and out through your mouth. When you feel very relaxed, breathe in deeply. When you exhale, imagine yourself floating on a soft cloud. You land very gently in a beautiful place. Keep breathing in and out. Feel the peace and calm of this relaxing place. Now, remember a bad habit that you can't seem to shake. Maybe you're compelled to raid the fridge as soon as you come home from work. Visualize, in slow motion, yourself walking through your front door after work. Watch what you do - every step leading to the moment when you reach for the refrigerator door. Freeze this scene. Ask yourself, "What old belief makes me do this?" Does it stem from childhood when you were greeted with a snack after school? Is it because no one is home to greet you and ask about your day? Play this slow-motion sequence of yourself coming home over and over in your mind. Continue this until you find the answer to your question. Now, play a new scene. See yourself walk through the door and grab the phone to call a friend or pour a tall glass of water. Watch every movement of this new scene. Once your subconscious creates a new routine, your behavior in real life will follow!
