Can't seem to lose weight!
I've been doing very well with eating healthy, and not snacking, but I can't get any of the weight off. My dh is eating everything in sight and losing weight. I swear if he says "I have to make another notch in my belt" one more time I will strangle him with it. I'm also drinking alot of water. I need lots of encouragement and advice.

Are you eating enough? You don't want to be eating too little--it will make your body go into "starvation" mode, and your metabolism will slow down.
Are you exercising?
How long have you been trying to lose weight?
Just some questions before I can give you some suggestions

I'm with Michelle, need more info. You *do* need to excercise, and you *do* need to make sure you're getting enough food otherwise you will diet yourself UP not down.

I eat three square meals a day, with extra veggies. If I am hungry for a snack I usually have a light yogurt, maybe once a day.
I don't excercise, BUT I also very rarely sit down at work! In a Dr.'s office there is never time to sit down while escorting patients in and out.
This has been going on for about 1 1/2 months.
I'm going to dig out my Weight Watchers stuff tonight and start that tomorrow, because I did really well on that.
Thanks

It sounds like you eat very well. Maybe the excercise bit needs to be plumped up a bit. I know you're on your feet at the office all the time, but you might need to do 10 minutes of something that gets you warm, makes you break a sweat. doing that a couple of times a day can help boost up your metabolism. Just a suggestion.
Keep trying!!

You have my sympathy! I am with you on this one. I have been doing weight watchers ( well, cheating somewhat too) and I have lost 6 pounds but my DH is dropping weight like crazy and I could just kick him! LOL. He keeps pointing out the belt notches also and we had to go get him new pants since the old ones were falling down. While I am glad for him and his health, it sure gets frustrating doesn't it! Keep trying, you can do this! And know you are NOT alone. I am off on vacation next week but then will be home and right back to it again. This time I will win...not the food

My weight loss has slowed... ok, stalled is more like it. I know that the biggest difference for me is I'm not exercising like I was. I was swimming and taking long walks nearly every day, and now that I'm not doing it any more, I can definitely tell a difference. I'm on my feet a lot both at work and at home, but, the extra exercise definitely made a difference.

I used to have a fast metabolism and then it slowed down drastically. I got married and started cooking regular meals whether I was hungry or not.
Couldn't get it back up to save my life!
I found out a secret. It isn't what you eat, it's how much and how often.
I have TMJ. Got an abcessed jaw. Couldn't open my mouth all the way and had difficulty in chewing.
Was taking antibiotics so I had to eat when I took them or I got sick at my stomach, same with pain pills.
So, I was eating like 1/2-1 c. of food about 8 or 10 times a day for about a month. I was eating pudding, apples sauce, chili in a blender, ect. But, I was eating such small quantities that I got hungry faster. It kicked my metabolism into high gear.
I'm losing weight! Yipee!
