Dealing with Fibromyalgia...
I've just spent the last few days, Saturday tru Monday, nearly flat on my back in bed. I had a horrid Fibromyalgia attack.
I was just getting over bronchitis and then this! I also had a diverticulitis attack at the same time so was hurting all over(especially my legs) and couldn't take any meds as it might upset my tummy.
I tried to come and post here a little but it was even difficult to sit up for long. Dh took care of himself and made his own meals and cleaned up after himself. Thank goodness.
Finally on Monday I was able to take X-tra strength Tylenol and that eased the pain some. I've been eating alot of yogurt and eating turkey sandwiches and soup and that's about all for days now.
Anyone else having bad flare-ups? Do you find they get worse after you've had a bought of sickness?"Success on any major scale requires you to accept responsibity."

I don't have fibro but yes. My fatigue thing is way worse with stress or illness. I just don't have the bounce back anymore and I need to keep that in mind.
Hugs, rest up and don't beat yourself up (like I'm prone to do) for being sick and needing longer than most people do to get better.
I always struggle with feeling like a hypochondriac when it's just not true. But it makes me feel bad for being sick longer than others.
I've finally thought this one thru enough that I'm able to counteract my old mental messages on this (margery if you just put your mind to it, you could rise above this)
and now I give myself permission to rest and recuperate and not feel guilty when someone calls and wants me to do something or go somewhere and says "what you're still SICK????"
Darn right! WHAT you still have FRECKLES??? or CURLY HAIR??? or BLUE EYES????
That sarcasm is never said aloud, but it helps remind me that this is the way my body is now, and there is no sense wishing it was different anymore than wishing away freckles or the kind of eyes or hair that a person has.
