Thumbs up I finally feel confident enough to....

Put the full amount of weight I have to lose in my ticker tape. I had set my goal at loosing 85 lbs. and had set my ticker tape has that. I said I would then work towards my final goal.

However after giving it much thought I decided I would put the full amount rather than doing it in two sessions.

Although I have changed it, I'm am still working in small increments, rather than looking at the "whole" amount I have to lose.

    Some major changes:

~being confident enough to tell the world I needed to lose 117 lbs. Only one friend new how much I had to lose.
~getting close to saying exactly how much I began my weight at. This is taking me a bit of time, however I am working at it. It is now written down. Before I wouldn't even do that.
~being confident enough to know that no one can sabatoge me anymore. This is about me and where I want to go in my new lifestyle.
~being confident enough to try new beauty products, something I haven't done in a long time.
~starting to think about the new clothes I'll be able to wear. I'm now looking at clothes in smaller sizes.

This is a work in progress, however it sure feels good to be continually going down.

    Way to go, CJ!

Maybe you will be my motivation to step back on the scale. I was doing pretty well, then I started having a problem with my throat (cricopharyngeal spasm, which is SO annoying- I think it must be like water torture) that is only NOT noticeable when I am swallowing SOMETHING, so I fell off the bandwagon just so I wouldn't have to feel the constant lump in my throat.

But I digress. I have been riding my bike on an almost daily basis, but I know I have gained most of the weight back. I'm off to update my ticker now. Thanks for the push, CJ.

    Cj,

Maybe you are just the inspiration I need right now.

BOY...do I need to loose weight!!!!

I think there are TWO PEOPLE here in my body! LOL

Really it is not a laughing matter...our health is at a big risk here.

I know this but seem to do nothing about it.

I just received an invitation to join a Gym, here in the neighborhood. It is a special for $99 the first year, I think I am going to try it. They have water Arobics & swimming...both of which I think I can do.

My good friend has been trying to get me to go with her for a long time now. The fee was $500 a year...so this is a "bargain" I guess.

You keep up the good work, CJ...it is a mighty battle for all of us over-weight people.

    Sending hugs & good luck.

I have no idea how much I'll need to re-lose this spring after the jumbo shrimp is born. Hmmm well the lemon. The baby is bigger than a jumbo shrimp now. lol

At any rate, I'm sure it will be a substantial amount and I'll be joining you then.

Wishing you much success with your journey.

I know one of your inspirations is Oprah. What does she say? "You have to own the number." You've done that. It's a huge leap forward. Congratulations, my friend. I know you'll do it.

I love, love, love your attitude! You go girl!!
I will join you. At my heavest I was 280 pounds. I am 5 foot 6 inches and the "charts" say i should be about 150/160. I am currently 251/253 (depending on what scale I use) I would be thrilled to be 190 or 200. So as of right this very minute, I am with you!

My new mantra is this," Do you want to be a spectator or a participant?"
I choose to be a participant. I want to be the woman playing on the slide with her DGD not the one on the bench watching!

Do not feel bad about the amount of weight you have to lose.. Atleast you have come to the conclusion that you do need to lose it, your admitting to it and your working on it.. And from the looks of it, your succeeding!

Hey, I'll let you in on a secret.. As of last wednesday, I have lost 112 pounds in the last 18 months and I still have atleast 80 to lose.. So there are lots of us out here in your shoes.. Or bigger shoes... (I only weigh on Wednesdays)

Good luck! It can be done..

I am so proud of you CJ! You have let it be known and now it will be done.

I know it is a struggle as I have been there. It won't happen over night, but it will happen. You have the right attitude to make it happen.

    GO CJ! GO!!

    WTG! Your attitude is great!

My DH doesn't even know how much I really weigh- I won't let him see the scale. I posted my true weight and goals once, on another forum, and it took me a while of re-typing and staring at that post before I finally got brave and sent it.

Personally, I've stalled.... I lost about 12 pounds, then I've stayed right in the -10/12 pound range for about two months now.  I guess I'm not gaining, which is good, but I'm also not losing.  I need to get back to the swimming routine (at the YMCA with DD) that I had going for a while there and lose some more.
