ow, ow, ow
ugh, i wrenched my back somehow. It hurt all night, and so far all day it has ached bad. on a scale of 1-10, easily a 7. I have tried tylenol, heat, cold, etc etc. nothing is working. I have called my doc to leave a message to see if can get in sometime soon. In the meantime i need relief. Anything you have used that you found that works would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried sitting in a hot shower? I find that sitting while sort of "curled up" and letting the warm water hit me is quite relaxing.

Sorry to hear your back is out. I pulled a muscle once moving a large intertainment center. A hot bath with epson salt helped some. I hope you feel better soon.

Your back is probably in muscle spasms. Try ibruprofen, motrin, or naproxon. I would try to do as much resting as you can so you don't make it worse. I usually go to the chiropractor when this happens to me. You can try taking a bath with Epson Salts, the magnesium will help. If you have any calcium/magnesium vitamins, that will help to.

Missy, I feel your pain

What I do when mine goes (I had back surgery 10 yrs. ago for a couple of ruptured discs and a herniated one), b/c I know if I rest it it will get better.....that is until you actually rupture the disc... . Anyway, I take 2 aspirin or a pain pill if I have a Rx one, take a hot bath, rub something like icy hot or absorbine jr. on, plug in the heating pad, lay on my back at a semi sitting angle with a big pillow under my knees. I know with little ones it's impossible to rest your back as much as I'm talking here Missy, but it's important to rest it whenever you can. Sometimes it will take mine several days to recover. I hope you get some relief, it's miserable indeed when your back is hurt. Once you hurt it really bad, it's so easy to re-injur it with very little movement.

I have problems with my back- have ever since a patient injured me 5 years ago. Anyway, I just wrenched it two weeks ago when I slipped and fell, so I can feel for you, for sure.
What I do: pain reliever and anti-inflammatory, hot bath, then find te most comfortable position I can- sometimes it is sitting, sometimes standing, etc. I find walking usually HELPS me, but this is obviously very dependent upon the injury and the individual. My chiro works wonders, too. When it is REALLY bad, I will resort to one of those smelly muscle rubs or patches, but it is VERY important to remember when using these that just because they take the pain away doesn't mean the injury isn't still there- you must still be extremely cautious how you are moving and what you are doing
Feeling any better today?.

Hope it's better soon.
Mine bothers me every now and then and I take Motrin (I take 4,which prolly isnt good, but they work ) or a prescription pain med if I have any. I just sit with the heating pad on mine. I've heard to move around and make it better, but mine always hurts to bad to be moving lol
If I was closer,I'd keep the kids for ya

I am not looking forward to going to bed, laying flat hurts the most. If i could sleep stand ing up, i would.
I have some perscription stuff left over that i have broken in half and taken. It took the edge off. And heat is helping too. I will need to go to a doc as soon as I can about it.
