Default Still buying anti-bacterial soap? You may be wasting your money.

As I've said before, I don't buy anti-bacterial soap for my home. I have to search the shelves to find regular soap, but that is what I buy. The only place I will use anti-bac is at work (hospital) because I don't have any choice.

That's an interesting article. I buy anti bacterial soap (here and there) and I find that it dries my skin out really quick. I mainly only use it now after I have changed my son's diaper.

    Yup, I totally agree.

I liked this summation in the article "Regular soap helps separate bacteria from the skin so the bacteria wash down the drain or transfer to a towel."

Plain old soap loosens the bacteria's hold on your skin, and washes right on down the drain.

Change the hand towel frequently, and you are all set.

There are scary things on those supermarket shelves. Anti B soap and wipes are just some of them. I always thought that if you need to use antibacterials, there was something wrong with your cleaning techniques. Natural cleaners get things clean without damaging you or the environment.

    I agree!

I think it is just a money grabbing thing to fool people into thinking they are doing a great service to their family by purchasing antibacterial. In the long run, it's harming them.
