Back Pain.
Sorry to be MIA all this week. It all started a week ago last Thursday when I felt a twinge of pain in my lower back when I moved. By Tuesday the pain had increased to me not being able to get rid of the pain with ice or moist heat. Wednesday morning I woke up at 3:30 am in severe pain. I was having muscle spasms through my whole lower back and they were beginning to move to my legs and my stomach. Dh took me to the doctor at 8:30 am. It took him nearly a half hour to get me into the truck just to ride to the doctor. It was horrid pain. I couldn't sit and I couldn't stand.
The doctor gave me 2 shots, 1 an anti-inflamatory and the other something to calm me down. My BP was sky high. She also gave me 2 muscle relaxers and after about 1 hour the spasms had almost stopped.
I'm still having small spasms today but not excruciating like on Wednesday and now my diverticulitis has kicked in with some pain probably from all the anti-inflamatories since it can't be something I've eaten since I've barely eaten anything since last week.
I just keep praying the muscle spasms don't start up again and I'm having to take it easy and not do much till this goes away.
Has anyone else had spasms in their lower back? What did you do for it?"Success on any major scale requires you to accept responsibity."

I do. I was in to see my chiropractor yesterday. After an adjustment, I went to see my MD. MD would not give me anything for the pain and my BP was high, too, so he increased the BP meds.
I will be seeing a lot of the chiropractor for the next couple months, he says. My insurance only pays for 12 visit @ year so we shall see what happens after those are up. I already told my chiropractor that my money is tight.
I took Aleeve and layed down and have been taking it easy on my back.
ICE ICE ICE !! Chiropractor said that reducing the swelling with cold packs will help the inflamation to heal faster. 1/2 hour ice it for 20 minutes, then 10 minutes every hour after that. No heat.
I hope and pray you find some relief from it.

Well, I've been iceing and resting but had to do laundry yesterday and didn't feel like laying down so I sewed a bit. My main problem right now seems to be standing long enough to cook a meal. I'm having to keep things simple for now as the pain really hits me when I stand for very long at all.
Thank you all for the advice. Unfortunately I can't afford the Chiropractor right now but maybe next week. I'll keep iceing and see if that helps. Thanks for the hugs and prayers too. You girls are the best.
