Lupus information?

I have only had a small amount of knowledge of Lupus. A dear, dear friend had it (she passed away after a kidney transplant two years back). But other than the small amount of info I got from her experience, I know nothing. I am being tested for it, Long story of health issues, and would llike to know what this is I am up against. I don't mean to jump the gun. I honestly don't think that my test will come back indicating that is what I have going on. But in the off chance that it does - since my doc is very specific about testing for it- i'd like some insight.

Anyone that has, or has a family member with it, I'd sure appreciate some of your input. In the meantime, i'll post links if i find them here for anyone else to find info at.

Sorry to hear you are suffering from this. My best friends mom was dx with this about 5 years ago. I really don't have any "first hand" knowledge, but maybe this site will help with some of your questions.
