The surgery is a go *UPDATED*
Although I am anxious about it (for reasons I won't go into) I am so glad to just know whether the surgery was on of off. So, 48 hours from now, i will have a Lumpy-free little girl and I will be feeling a lot less stressed.
You just don't realize how LITTLE everything else matters until a loved one's health is compromised. I've been so stressed by this for months, much more so than I've told ANYONE, and I can't wait for the surgery to be done and over. I know the surgeon is going to do a great job and my little girl will be safe and healthy and happy again quickly.
Can't wait. So I may not be around too much in the next few days- want to spend a lot of time playing and reading tomorrow, and obviously will be tending to her in the following days.

Aww Kimberly
All this anxiety will be replaced with a happy healthy bumpless little sweetie soon. You hang in there & hope you find some comfort in knowing that your Village friends are there with you in spirit.

Hoping the surgery goes well.
I know this will put your mind at ease once it is all said and done.

I just prayed for you and your little girl. Children's health concerns are usually so much harder on their parents than on the children themselves. Blessings to you!

Thank you so much, everyone! DD is doing great- we are home and she is standing here next to me eating goldfish crackers and drinking orange juice and generally happy. I told her the red stripe (incision and stitches) on her head is a Christmas decoration, and after Christmas, it will go away.
She was very brave and only cried for a few seconds when they gave her the sedative- it was liquid and they wanted to do it orally, but I told them she would put up a fight, so they did it nasally and she didn't like it. (But she didn't fight, and I think we made the right decision.)
The cyst was bigger and deeper than the surgeon initially thought and could tell from the CT scan. That makes me even happier we did this now, and he also said that the continued growth would have put it behind her eye, which definitely would have caused problems with her vision.
Again, thanks for all the prayers and positive thoughts- they have meant a lot to us!

How wonderful that everything went so well. Tell her to keep eating those goldfish crackers before they all swim away!
