Healthy resolutions for 2006.
Who else here is making resolutions for health reasons in 2006? (NOT INCLUDING LOSING WEIGHT!!!) I don't generally buy into the resolution thing, but I thought this year I would do a few simple things to help my health.
I will be making a more concerted effort to do these two simple things:
1)Take a multi-vitamin and calcium each day.
2)Put sun screen on each and every day. (I'm going to buy myself some nice sunscreen as a special incentive.)
I don't do either of these things enough, and I KNOW I should.
So, aside from exercising and losing fat/weight, what will YOU be doing to improve your health in 2006?

The cigarettes will be gone, yet another time. It's also a strain on my mental health. There isn't a day goes by where I think to myself, "what the heck am I doing!" and think that there's already something terribly wrong with me because of those darn cigarettes. So, only 2 more days left till they're gone for good. I quit once before for 6 months and then kicked myself really hard when I started again. Can't do it anymore.
Awesome list there btw! I just may do some of those as well.

DH has decided he wants to quit dipping copenhagen. I am relieved. This will give him extra years on his life, plus save us $$.
We also had a talk the other day. We both want to start:
1. taking a multivitamin
2. exercising more
3. eating more fruits and vegetables (the holidays have blown the healthy habits I had aquired.).~*Michelle*~

I don't really have any "resolutions" as such. But I am constantly working on preventing heart disease and diabetes -- two things that run in my family. We made some changes recently and I can't believe how much better I feel. In the past it's been hard for me to keep eating all the fruits and veggies -- I start out real good then drop off. But I feel so good right now I think I'm going to make a sign that says something like "Do you really want to feel that bad again?" and put in on my refigerator door.

I don't usually do resolutions either, but somehow it's different posting here...
It's so motivating to share your expectations and then try to succeed, knowing there is support regardless.
*I NEED to get more exercise to help with my chronic pain.
*Take all meds as directed (I've been skimping with RX meds as they cost me a fortune every month but starting Jan with the new Medicare plan I should only have to pay out of pocket about $28 for ALL my meds).
*Take care of myself; find "me" time; would like to get back to meditating.
*Not be so self-depricating and judgmental. I am my own worst enemy!

I plan to cut way back on sugar and refined white flour, and increase my intake of fruits and vegetables.

Great thread! Last year I made one resolution and that was to swap drinking full sugar softdrink to a diet one. Which to my amazement I managed to successfully achieve and now I know that I can make a change and follow through.
This year my resolution is to limit my takeaway to a regular once a week treat. hopefully next year I can say that I achieved this too.Visit My Blog: http://jugglingthehome.blogspot.com/
