Has anyone taken Buspar?
My new (wonderful) doctor put me on Buspar for my panic attacks, and also to see if the globus sensation (lump in my throat) is caused by anxiety (a spasm.)
I have been on it for a couple weeks, and I am not enjoying it. I had already decided that I maybe didn't need it before I even started taking it. I have been doing really well managing the panic attacks with just the extremely rare use of a sedative or by doing nothing- I am just having them much less frequently. I am not thrilled about the idea of taking a daily med if I don't really need it.
I have been sleeping miserably (got a little over 5 hours of sleep last nigt in three chunkc- 2 hours, awake 2 hours, 15 minutes, awak 20 minutes, then a few more hours- and that is MORE than I've been getting) and have been nauseous and light-headed. And I'm only taking half the final dosage. Not to mention the globus sensation actually seems to be WORSE, which leads me to believe that the spasm theory is wrong and that is one of the other two possibilities, likely allergies.
Does anyone have any experience with this medication? I have an appointment on the 20th, and I promised myself to try it for that long, but I really think I am going to tell her I just can't continue taking this.
