Question Were you overweight as a child?

Yes I was. In fact, all my life I've had to fight being overweight.

No, I was always really underweight--until I had kids.

Yep, though as a kid I was so active it never got higher than "average". Once I became more sedintary though (and especially in college) the weight crept up on me and got me.

yep. I was "chubby" when they made a chubby section for kids sizes.

Then I was in my teens and skinny on the top and huge, 2 or 3 sizes different on my bottom half. 34, 26, 44 were my bust waist and hips. Hated that. I think it was an estrogen imbalance. Too much possibly.

Then I married dh and got pregnant with ds, and suddenly after him not only did I gain weight but the porportions changed. I gained it on top going from a B minus as it were to a C plus. My waist shot up to a 34 and my hips stayed the same. Now I wore a size 18 routinely. I had the shape I have now. It's fairly porportional.

I lost a bit got down to a 16 then had dd. I shot up to 218 lbs after her birth and stayed there for a few years. When she was 4 I lost it all and got back down to a size 12 and weighed 160 for quite a few years.

Gradually it crept back up when I went back to work, and was busy and not paying attention much, and for some years I held the line below 200 lbs, wearing a 1X or a size 20, then a few years at 220 and lately in the last 6 or 7 years it's been around 235.

Yes! I was over nine pounds at birth, and stayed "chubby". I did lose about thirty pounds when I was a freshman in high school, going from 162 to about 130. I did gain some of that back and leveled off at 150 until I had dd #1. My weight has been a constant battle all of my life. I am currently losing (the weight, not the battle, LOL). I weigh 230 now. I would like to lose 100 pounds.

No, but I thought I was. We walked everywhere since we didn't own a car. Started gaining weight after marriage and kids.

I was a little on the chunky side until I was about 14, then I slimmed down...I haven't had much of a weight problem...except for when I'm expecting(I have to watch it b/c I tend to blimp)...unpregnant, my weight fluctuates between 117-123...I'm 5'9 and small boned.....by the charts, I'm suppose to be 139.
