Default Finally went to the doctor...

Well, I finally went to the doctor yesterday for my headaches, nosebleeds and downright feeling like poo...

The doctor gave me some amoxcillin for a sinus infection and put me on blood pressure pills!! The past few times I have been to the doctor my blood pressure was high but not bad....it was bad this time....

I just can't believe that I am 35 and having to be put on blood pressure medicine... talk about a dose of reality... I am definitly going to start working out and losing some weight.... when its my health at risk there is no excuse for not taking care of myself.

I guess its weight, stress, family history...all of those things combine...I just can't believe it... I have never really had any health problems (a true blessing) and now we have put the baby making on hold till I get this blood pressure under control....

I really hope to get to feeling better soon......

Glad you went Cornelia. Did you talk to the doc about your winter blues? You take good care.

    Thanks everyone..

Darlene, I did talk to him about that.... I have been doing better with that by getting out of the house more (the weather has been nice here) and trying not to be so down and upset. He wants to try and get my blood pressure under control first, and thinks working on my health will help the blues.....Thank you so much for thinking of me.

Before ds was born, I had a network of friends, I worked at a job and had work friendships, I was always on the go...I went back home alot more and got together with old friends...it was just different... I love my life now...and I love being a mother but that is pretty much all I do.... I stay home with him and the only time that I am away from him is when dh watchs him so I can go to the store or for a walk, or when he is sleeping. We get out and go places and I enjoy that but "me" time is few and far between. My dh and I talked about this yesterday and I will be getting some time to get in the excerise that I need. I still go to my parents alot but of course its me and ds and we usually stay at mom and dads and enjoy family time which is fine because I am so blessed to have such a close family. Even though I do have a great family and good friends, ....I have really been keeping things bottled up (not good for emotional or physcial health, I know). My family and friends all have their own stuff to deal with and I am so blessed and shouldn't be complaining about my feelings or life .

I can't seem to get out of this slump, and it really has upset me about having to take blood pressure medicine...I know that its really not bad but it really did scare me....I know that I need to take care of myself and have really let myself go the past few years..... I want to have another baby but I am worried and scared about that..... I want to be the best mother and wife that I can be so I constantly worried about that... I have some other issues that I am dealing with and that just adds fuel to the fire...

oooohhhh sorry you just wanted to know if I had talked to the doctor... I'm sorry I babbled on like that but ooooohhhh do I feel better....thanks for letting me get that out.....

Cornelia I'm glad that you made it to the doctor and got meds for your sinus infection. Those can be nasty. I was in my 30's when my blood pressure kept staying high and I went on medication. I understand about being scared and offer you a big hug. I know that when I am sick. in pain, or extremly stressed my blood pressure is high even after taking meds so that could be why your's was really high this time.

    Hugs, Carolyn

Glad you "babbled" Cornelia, it's good to get that stuff out. Don't worry about being on the bp meds (I take them too) doesn't mean it's forever. You just take good care of yourself & it'll all fall into place. Wished you lived closer, we could walk together.

Glad you went to the MD and are getting things under control. Like Darlene said, it doesn't mean you have to take them forever, but you are okay for now and that is super important.

Glad you went Cornelia and remember, one thing at a time. Get the bp under control and little by little everything else will fall into place.
