Unhappy Terrible Flu twice within a month

    Hi Everyone,

I hope you are all healthy out there. I just spent two of the most horrible days in bed sick with the flu. Twice I have had this within one month. Anyone else finding they are sick more often than most this year? I have had to call into work because no matter what medication I take my body will not stay upright. Today I am feeling much better but severely run down. I have been taking my vitimins, eating lots of Vit. C, exercising, drinking water, eating healthy, etc. but I can't believe I got this again. I hope anyone else suffering from this terrible virus gets better soon as well.

Are you absolutely sure it is the flu? Sometimes, foodborne illness can make you feel like you have the flu, and since it can take a couple of days before you get sick, you might not be connecting the food with the illness.

Thanks for the healthy wishes! This time around I got a cough, fever, chills, nasal congestion, etc. The only thing different from the last time I was sick was the cough. I don't think it was food related as I didn't have any sort of intestinal or stomach bug. (thank goodness). Just the annoying cold symptoms are now what's left. I'm back at work today, all drugged up, but I needed to make an effort to work because I need to get things finish here. I hope it doesn't come back again.

Sorry to hear that you have been feeling yucky....I hope your back to 100% soon.

I have caught several cold/sinus infections this year and seems like I can't get rid of them to quickly....

I can relate completely. I hardly ever get sick, I take the flu shot each year and I work in a hospital so my resistance is really high but I came down with some horrid flu like bug last Thursday night at work and by the time I left at 7AM my temp was 102 and I felt like warmed over death. I had it all weekend long and yesterday, today is the first day that I have felt even semi human. I had 4 days off from work so I did not have to call in but if I had been scheduled I would have had to call in, I could not have worked like that. I go back to work tonight so the timing of feeling better is good.

I hope you are all over yours and that you stay well.
