Red face i finally did it!

I've wanted to do away with my mustache for years and just never had the courage. About 2 months or so ago I bought a Sally Hansen cream kit for the face. Tonite I finally summoned up the courage to use it. I did my chin first and then my upper lip. I left it on for 4min and when I wiped, there were still quite a few hairs (they even seemed darker!!) so I reapplied the cream and left it on for a couple of more minutes. The hairs were still there, so I started to pluck one dark one with tweezers and it just came off. When I kinda run the end of the tweezers over the rest of the hairs they came off also. I then wiped & wiped it away with a wet washrag. I was stinging for a couple of hours - it seemed like the smoothing cream afterward made it worse. But I still left it on. I'm not stinging now and so far, I'm not broke out or red (fingers crossed). So far so good!!

My question: does anyone else do this? and how often does it take? do you use it anywhere else on your face besides the chin and upper lip? I have "sideburns" and actually pretty much hair all over my face. I've thought about this for a long time, but was too chicken-worried that I would do something that would make my facial hair worse. Any comments or experiences with this would be helpful to me.

Just so you know, nothing will actually make your facial hair worse except hormones/age, and genetics.... the follicles that put the hair there don't change size, shape, texture or anything ifyou shave, gell, wax etc... (waxing can lighten hair over the years by damaging the follicle.

So? How do you feel? How do you feel you look? Are you happy with it? it's always lovely to take care of something that has bothered you for a long time. Good for you for trying something new!

Thumbs up still hairless this morning LOL

    thank you babs!
i'm glad i finally took the plunge. my upper lip still feels a little funny (i think it's that after cream) but it seems weird not to have my little whiskers. LOL i think it does make me look a little better (i feel better) i generally don't think about or do things beauty-wise for myself. i used to be so younglooking i don't guess i thought i needed to, but i'm 41 now and starting to think about such things. also i was really having a time plucking chin hairs.
anyhoo, i guess i will just have to be careful watching and redo when i see more hairs. hopefully not for a while. i was really worried about having it either breakout or be red which hasn't happened.

Hope you have a great 4th of July!

Cream takes the skin right off my hide. My sister gets hers waxed but I just pluck them as I see them.

I've just always had facial hair (I have real dark brown hair) and a lot of hair on my arms. It bothered me in junior high and high school for the obvious reasons. But here lately it's just started bothering me again.
I've always plucked but it seems like my chin hairs grow all day! And I'm lucky enuf that when I get my hair cut, my hairdresser always does my brows too--they are always out of control) I've never tried waxing. Hopefully this is going to work out long-term.
