Blood Pressure question
can someone explain blood pressure to me? I had mine read today and it was 120/79. Is that good or bad? I can give other information if that makes a difference, just tell me the info you need.

Mild Hypertension 140-160 90-100
Moderate Hypertension 160-200 100-120
Severe Hypertension Above 200 Above 200

The top number (systolic) is the pressue in your blood vessels when the heart muscle contracts.
The bottom number (diastolic) is the pressure in your blood vessels when the heart rests - however briefly, between beats.
Numbers too close together are bad, and numbers too far apart are bad. . .

very perfect! 120/80 is like the ideal-- kinda like saying that 98.6 is the normal body temp... you're right on track!!
