ticked off at the dr's office...........
grrrrr.....i'm pretty ticked off. i called my kids pediatrician mid september about my kids getting the flu shot. they said they didn't have any shots yet & to call back the 1st week of october. well 2 of my chidlren are high risk (asthma & a heart problem). ic alled them back on friday, and the nurse said "we just used our last shot yesterday". boy was i ticked!!!!! every year they mail out the high-risk kids a letter stating that they are 1st on the lsit for the flu shots. i confronted the nurse & she said "we forgot to send them out this year". i said "i'm pretty ticked right now, i've been bringning my kids to you gusy for 11 years, and i can't believe i'm having this problem with you". she apologized, but my 2 kids haven't received thier flu shot yet. so now that means that i have to take them both to the local health clinic & wait for a few hours in line...........grrrrrrrrrrr......i'm not happy!!!!

I would be upset as well. They must not have gotten very many doses to have run out so quickly, and someone needs to be repreimanded for dropping the ball on sending out the notices.
My son and I are both high risk and I know how important getting the shot is not only for us, but we make sure DD and DH get it as well.
Good Luck, I hope you are able to get them vaccinated with minimal wait time at the health department.DD (19)

I would be ticked as well. I am sorry this happened and I hope the wait at the clinic isn't too terribly long.

Angie,
I can understand why you are upset. Just wondering if you take them to the health department? I know ours makes appointments ahead of time, which reminds me.....
