Anyone use Airborne?
Does anyone use Airborne? I swear that this a miracle cure
. I first heard about it from the nurses that I work with in ICU and CVICU, they were all using it when they started feeling sick and it was helping them avoid all the seasonal bugs that go around. My MIL got the flu this past weekend and DH went to the store and purchased Airborne for himself and his father since they were the only ones that had been around her. DH said he has not felt as good as he felt after 2 doses of Airborne in years. He felt so good that he completely cleaned our house this weekend. Airborne is a staple in our medicine chest.

Was your DH having symptoms, or using it as a preventative? Sounds like he needed the big vitamin c boost.
I know there are some days where I feel better after taking a mega dose of vit. C.
We use Airborne and Emergen-C and I haven't noticed any shortening of the duration or severity of cold/flu symptoms, but DH says he has.Last edited by starsapphire; 11-06-2006 at 06:34 PM.

I've always wondered about that stuff too!
I see the commercials on tv all the time, but of course, say no way! LOL

DH had started feeling achy and just generally icky before the Airborne and after the second dose was feeling great. FIL had not had any symptoms but he has not gotten the flu either.
I was skeptical at first also but on the recomendation of nurses who have worked in critical care for 20 years we gave it a shot. I really thought it was just the big vitamin and mineral punch but DH was feeling icky and his symptoms went away afterwards, was it the Airborne or was he just run down and tired, who knows, but it made him feel better so I guess it did it's job

I did not know that there was a generic brand of it. I will have to look for it the next time we purchase it, I am always willing to give a generic a try. Thanks for letting us know about it Michelle.

I've used it before, but it was the Walgreen generic kind. The generic kind is only $1 cheaper where I live. It has a nice combination of vitamins and herbs. I think it works better if you take it as soon as you start to feel icky. I think it's worth the money, it only was $5.

I use Zicam. That stuff works great for me. The Airborne hasn't worked as well for me, but I did try it.
